Pliteq’s GenieMat® GBV is a series of resilient vibration isolation systems designed to mitigate ground-borne vibration from railway pass-bys or vibration sources from entering the structure. These systems are engineered to reduce vibration at the building foundation, enhancing comfort and meeting the Federal Transit Administration (FTA) guidelines in urban developments near rail tracks. Sensitive adjacencies requiring mitigation can include concert halls and theaters, recording studios, hospitals, research facilities with sensitive machinery, and residential and commercial spaces.

As cities continue to grow, the need for adjacent-to-rail infrastructure has become essential. These sensitive adjacencies can compromise occupant well-being and lead to increased tenant turnover. The GenieMat® GBV system has been engineered for vibration isolation in rail-adjacent structures.

Columns, Footings, Vertical Walls
Significantly reduce ground-borne vibrations at the building foundation and enhance urban comfort.
GenieMat® GBV systems consist of lateral and vertical vibration-decoupling pads designed for building base isolation. This dynamically soft, rebonded-rubber material withstands high loads while maintaining a low natural frequency and low creep rates. They are used when superior vertical or lateral vibration decoupling is required for building isolation.
